Where we Meet
The club meets every Monday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm from early
September to late May.
Meetings are held in the Crofthead Farm Community Education Centre, Dedridge,
Livingston.

What We Do
Monday evenings
form the formal part of the club activities. We are fortunate to be able to
attract high quality speakers who demonstrate the breadth and scope of
photography, both conventional and digital. Some evenings are devoted to
club competitions where members receive constructive feedback on their entries
from independent judges. Inter club competitions within Lothian and the West of
Scotland provide similar
opportunities.
The educational
activities are further developed through informal
educational sessions organised by experienced members to support and
encourage those wishing to develop skills and techniques. This could cover
digital techniques, 35mm film, macro photography, studio lighting or any
photographic subject of interest to members. The club is fortunate to have
conventional and digital dark room facilities which support our on going
teaching programmes.
Exhibitions, which
allow for the display of member’s work, are held annually in Almondvale
Shopping Centre. The club is also a founder
member of the Strathbrock Partnership Local Art Team (SPLAT) where we have
a permanent exhibition of member's photographs.
The club has
also developed links with the West Lothian Youth Theatre and in recent years has
been involved with West Lothian Council in photographically documenting
activities of several of the voluntary groups throughout the region.
The club looks
forward to working with other arts groups in West Lothian through the SPLAT
Project.
